REVEALED: How Doctor, Others Ran Kidnapping Ring, Sold Children

The Nigeria Police on Monday, August 24, 2015 paraded a six-member gang, including a medical doctor, for the crime of kidnapping.
Briefing the media in Abuja, police spokesman, Emmanuel Ojukwu, disclosed that the suspects kidnapped three children in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
According to him, the suspects include Faith Nuhu, Chigozie Goodwil, Evelyn Ojioku, John Ojiaku, Dr. Amadi Godwin Uzoma and Elizabeth Oyemoobi.

The police said that the children involved were Grace Musa Idris, 13, Philip Musa Idris, three years old, and Paul Musa Isaac, two years old.
“Parents are, therefore, advised to device means of profiling relations and neighbours to avoid falling prey of the evil act.
“Persons who wish to adopt children should follow approved channels and not patronise child harvesters,” the statement said.
“A case of criminal conspiracy and kidnapping was reported to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) through a formal complaint by Yakunap K. Baba & Co., legal practitioners, dated June 25, 2015 on behalf of one Musa Isaac and Musa Idris all male of Kafanchan town, Kaduna State.
“The complainant accused the first suspect, Faith Nuhu, and the second suspect, Chigozie Goodwill, of kidnapping their three children to unknown destination under pretext of buying biscuits for them.
“On the strength of this complaint a team of crack detectives attached to Analytical Tracking and Interception Centre, Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Bureau, were assigned to investigate. The team came out with astonishing revelations.
“The GSM contacts of the suspects was geo-located to a sub-target in Owerri, Imo State, through analytical tracking that led to the arrest of the Nuhu and Goodwill in Edo State and their confession revealed how they kidnapped the three victims in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, and dumped Grace Musa Idris (Female) who is the eldest, along Abuja-Jos highway, while the two minors, Philip Musa Idris and Paul Musa Isaac, were delivered to Ojiaku at the cost of N600,000.
“The third suspect, Mrs. Evelyn Ojiaku, is operating a private hospital know as Royal Maternity/Clinic and Child Care Service around Umuiyi Akaba Ikeduru, off Kilometre 6, Owerri-Okigwe road in Imo State, where children are being traded with the connivance of the fourth suspect John Ojiaku, who is her biological son, while the fifth suspect, Dr. Amadi Godwin Ozuma, provides medical services in the hospital.
“The confession of the third suspect revealed how she earlier bought a day-old male child of the first suspect- Faith Nuhu at the cost of N100,000 in September 2014, before she later supplied her two cousins, namely Philip Musa Idris and Paul Musa Isaac, for N600,000.
“Ojiaku further admitted giving out the first child sold to her to one Angela, a Lagos resident, at the cost of N300,000 in September 2014 and also affirmed with the connivance of the sixth suspect, Mrs. Onyemuobi Elizabeth, an auditor in the Imo State civil service.”
Ojukwu stated that the suspects would be prosecuted in accordance to the laws of the federation.
